Grand Çamlıca Mosque which is an historical value to be inherited for the next generations is one of the most significant prayer halls of the city constructed on the location seeing Bosporus of the Anatolian Side.
In addition to the prayer hall, it serves as a social complex including social, cultural and educational places within itself. Mosque is located on the land for approximately 15,000 m2 of the work placed on an area for 57,500 m2 totally. Main dome of the mosque has a diameter for 34 meters and height for 72,00 meters. Four of the six minarets of the work is 107,10 meters long while the two of them are 90 meters long and located on the courtyard of the mosque. Mosque and the Courtyard have a capacity for 63,000 to worship at the same time.
Grand Çamlıca Mosque where Ottoman-Seljuk architectural style was integrated with today’s style is one of the new symbols of the city. It is the synthesis of archaic one and today’s technology with its architectural details and decoration programs.
